Is there anyone you would permanently erase from your life and memory? If so, who and why?

No, even the worst people I've met have taught me great lessons in life.

Muse [Jan. 17th, 2010|03:00 pm]

My buddy Tomas might be getting us tickets to see Muse in Oakland in April. We'll probably hit up Zachary's before hand for some awesome pizza. If everything goes through, it will be fucking SICK. I might have a new truck by then, we'll see. I guess the truck is up to 146k now, once it hits 150k it should be mine for 2k or less. It'll need a few things, but overall pretty nice. 2005 Dodge Dakota, all highway miles. Bitchin!

Writing Project Week II [Dec. 21st, 2009|12:54 am]
smirkindabutt
So week one was pretty good. i was pleased, definitely had some issues, but I haven't written in a while, and I didn't block up the whole time I was writing it. I may continue that story-line in the future, but I think next week will be a brand new storyline. Stixy has already offered up some new ideas that  I'll post here to keep easy track of everything. Anyone and everyone please post some ideas, last week Stixy gave me "A character who doesn't get much social interaction is suddenly privy to information that could change the world" (paraphrased) for next week so far we have

Details and ideas for future stories: -horde of squirrels attacking an object they do not usually eat (I'm picturing a severed finger, but y'know, do what you wish). -hanging up garments on a clothesline. -character has compulsion to scream at inappropriate moments. -portrait of Jesus Christ on a wood-paneled wall.

Writing Project [Dec. 12th, 2009|10:11 pm]
smirkindabutt
Me and Tawny have been thinking/brainstorming website ideas lately, and I thought of a really good one. I want to start my idea here on LJ with people that I know and trust just to see where it goes. Basically what I want to do is have open submissions to create a story.

Here is what I'm asking of you,
I want you to give me something, an idea, a place, a character trait. Basically any device that is found in a story. How I want the site to go would be M-F would be for people posting ideas and me gathering them up and trying to think of ways to use things together. Then I could have Sat to write a short story using as many of the elements that I can and post it on Sunday.

So let's get this started, it would really mean a lot to me to get some good stuff to test myself on this. So just comment right on this post and give me something, anything whether you think I can work with it or not. Basically I want you to test me and I want to test myself.

Thanks in advance!!

LOLight [Sep. 11th, 2009|08:40 am]

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1405406/

I watched the first episode.  It's basically Twilight turned into a tv show.  No sparkles though, that's nice, and they rely on magic rings to stay alive in the sunlight.  But the main dude is super creepy/stalky/broody and even though he's over 100 years old he acts like a fucking teenager.  Luckily his brother is kind of awesome and played by Boone, lol. Seriously though, this show sucks.  The main chick was on Degrassi for a while.

They did play Placebo - Running up That Hill, that was pretty cool.  The rest of the soundtrack was super lame though.

I need more True Blood!  These vampires will not cut it.  It is however nice that they didn't use only Twilight themes, but borrowed from real vampire lore as well.

FUUUUCK TWILIGHT!  Also, I have a few Rifftrax and think we should have a Rifftrax party with Twilight Rifftrax as the main event.  Who's down?  Who wants to host?

Gay Marriage Opponents Now Want Legal Definition of Christmas

By Ryan Garns

Opponents of gay marriage who believe marriage should only apply to heterosexuals now wish to restrict access to another sacred institution: Christmas.

"Much like traditional marriage, the traditions of Christmas have been under assault for many years now," says Brent Slabroller, leader of The Defense of Traditions Coalition. "In order to preserve those traditions, we're calling for a constitutional amendment that defines Christmas as only for Christians."

For years non-Christians have adopted the Christmas holiday as though it were their own. They decorate trees, exchange gifts, take paid time off from work -- but none of them pay any tribute to Jesus Christ. Some of them don't even go to church. Even more shocking, some of them are gay.

"Let's be honest: these non-Christians don't give a hoot about the true meaning of Christmas," says Slabroller. "They just want to exploit it for the fringe benefits."

Slabroller denied the charge that his organization is motivated by bigotry rather than the betterment of society.

"We're not saying non-Christians can't have a celebration of their own," said Slabroller. "We're just saying don't call it Christmas. Call it 'Pagan Day'. Call it 'Gee-I-Wish-I-Could-Celebrate-Christmas-But-Instead-I'm-A-Godless-Heathen' Day. Instead of singing carols, you can go door-to-door reading Charles Darwin to each other. Or the Qur'an or Harry Potter or whatever else non-Christians like to read. I wouldn't know."

In other related news: a gay rights group is calling for a legal definition of Broadway musicals in order to keep out heterosexuals. More on this as it develops.

Time to Post MOAR! [May. 6th, 2009|09:07 pm]

[mood |happyTruly Happy]

This last weekend was AMAZING!!! I drove up to see Tawny, and met her at work while she was closing. Her co-worker thought I was DD for people at the bar down the street :). Anyways, the first night was fun, but boring, since I got there late all we did was get some food and sleep.

On Saturday we went to get breakfast, or was that Sunday... Either way we got some delicious fucking breakfast from the strangest of places. It was a donut shop ran by Asians, which had the best donuts I've ever had. I got a chocolate cake donut and it was crispy on the outside and fresh and fluffy on the inside. But beyond that there was so much more. They also offered Chinese food and sandwhiches, however that is not what I ate. I ate their menu item simply called "breakfast" Which consisted of 2 eggs, cooked to order perfectly, frozen rectangle hash browns, four pieces of toast, and bacon Though simple it was a delicious breakfast, but the best part of it, it was under 5 dollars. I paid about 8 bucks for 3 donuts and 1 breakfast. Then we went to Whole Foods and got some tasty treats, bitchin.

Later on Saturday, WOLVERINE!!!! It was a pretty badass movie, Logan was Berserking left and right, getting his ass kicked pre-adamantium and kicking ass post. Shortly thereafter Tawny had to go to work. I went in near the end of her shift and got a burger and some sweet potato fries, sadly no milkshake, in retrospect, I should have gotten a milkshake, but that's alright.

Sunday was good and relaxing, we didn't do much up to Tawny working again, but after she went to work I drove around RP and SR and got a haircut, I needed it. After work she was pretty tired, and so was I. And besides we had plans for Monday.

On Monday, we went to San Francisco!!! It was awesome! I feel like I've been there a lot lately, and that is a very good thing. We did fun touristy stuff. We started at the Ferry Building for foods. We got Lobster Chowder and Seafood Gumbo, both of which were amazing! Then as we were walking down Embarcadero towards Pier 39 we walked into a fancy ass chocolate shop. But they had something quite special there. Drinking Chocolate shots. The richest, chocolatiest, most delicious thing I've ever drank. Tawny had hers with espresso and quite enjoyed not only the flavor, but the affects of the caffeine. Then we stumbled around town until we finally found Haight Ashbury, I promised Tawny awesome vintage clothes stores. We wandered around there, didn't find much stuff for her in the vintage stores, but then we saw this random story called Loyal Army Clothing that was totally Tawny. They were kind of expensive so Tawny decided to wait and buy things from them online little by little :). From there we went back to Rohnert Park, specifically to Shangri-La which is our favorite Himalayan food place. They make the best Chicken Tikka Masala I've eaten. Their curries are amazing as well, and they serve tasty tasty lambs.

Then I had to head home, work in the morning and all. It was really nice, but I feel like I need a day to myself now, haha. I don't know what it is, but I just can't handle being active 7 days a week, it drives me crazy. Every once in a while I just need a day where I don't hang out with people, don't work, and just be quiet. That doesn't necessarily mean I don't do anything though, sometimes I like to do things alone, like going for a walk or to the dog park. Window shopping at electronics stores and hardware stores and occassionally Costco XD.

I was realizing the other day when me and Dick were talking about girlfriends that the majority of me and Tawny's relationship has been long distance. And while we have a very strong relationship, and I love her to death, it definitely has a lot of downsides to it. What I'm getting at is that even though I know she doesn't want to move back into her parents house, I'm excited to have her be a 3 minute drive away again. I'm nervous though, because I'm not sure I'm going to know how to be in a close distance relationship again :). I feel like we've grown into this habit, which makes sense for long-distance, that anytime we're close to each other we can't stand being away from each other. I do know that it's going to take us some time though. That first week, or month, or however long we're going to be inseparable, so you all better be ready for that!

I love you Tawny. You're the greatest thing that's ever happened to me, and I'm never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down, never gonna run around and desert you ;)

Seriously though Tawny, I hope you know just how much you mean to me, because it's a lot.

Oh yeah, those are Twilight Heart Candies.

And I don't know how to cut, and I don't wanna learn.
